S U M M A R Y

I have been involved with the arts since a very tender age. I was fortunate enough to have the emotional support and encouragement from my parents to use my imagination to resolve many of the conflicts that are a part of growing up. I used art and music as a means of expressing myself when words ran short. As I grew up, I kept exercizing these skills and acquiring new ones. Whatever I lack from not having completed a "formal" education, I have tried to compensate for in practical experience, hard work, dedication and determination. I am quite proficient in the computer graphics field, as well as commercial sculpting and special effects.

Production Artist, Technicreations 1997- present

This is the most amazing and varied job I’ve ever had. No two projects are ever the same, and most include a decent bit of engineering. We craft props and attractions almost exclusively for the amusement park industry. I sculpt, (clay, wax, foam, cement, etc,) I make various kinds of molds, and then do the production pieces out of a wide variety of mediums.(fibergass, carbon fiber, plastics, latex, foam, etc.) I have on occasion been tapped to act as foreman for crews of up to eight people. I really like working there, but I would like to get into a bigger company where there are more opportunities for artistic growth.

Evening Manager, Discordia Cybercafe 1995- 1997

I taught classes on graphic and web publishing software, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Quark and Quark Express, Microsoft FrontPage, and Sausage Software’s Hot Dog Pro. Oh, I also made coffee drinks. It was a really neat business that’s time came and went with the advent of the affordable PC.

Barristo, Event Coordinator, Caffe Nove 1992- 1994

This was the original "hip & artsy" coffeehouse in Orange county. I was equal parts bartender and entertainment and gallery director. I booked bands, many of whom have since signed with major labels. I also negotiated art openings and brokered the sales of many of the pieces that were displayed.
